Create and animate joint?

Hello dear fusion 360 friends,

I am in despair at the moment and would appreciate some help.

I'm trying to create an animation in Fusion 360 and I just can't manage to connect two components by means of a joint and then animate it.

for a better understanding of my challenge i have added two pictures with labels in the attachment.

C is a clip, so to speak, that is connected to the housing A via a connector B.

I would like to create rotation points at x and y and then animate the opening of the clip.

How can I do this ?

Do I do this in the Construction work area or directly in Animation?

I would be very happy to receive instructions or tips on how to do this.

Thank you,

Arne

Hi,

In the design area, you create the specific joints and set their movement limits.
The rest follows in the animation.
Have a look at some videos about this.

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

I doubt that any of them will help in your case.

The answer is as per your second picture.

A, B, and C must be Components.

Make A and B join with Revolute Joint, set limit of travel, say -40 and zero.

Make C and B join with Revolute Joint set limit of travel zero and 40.

Use Motion Link, for both Joints, make the ratio equal, but one in reverse.

Right Click the Revolve Joint and Select Animate Model.

Might help....
