Create a sketch on a curved (arc) component

I am trying to create a sketch on the larger end of an arc section so I can use the sketch points for alignment. I have created points for the midpoint of the arc section and projected them onto the component surface, but they are not "attached" to the component. When I use the alignment tool to attempt to move the arc section to the origin, only the sketched lines move. I want to be able to move the arc section itself. 

On a similar note, reading through the October 5 update release notes, I noticed:

Measure an Arc radius – Previously when you did this, the Measure tool only gave you a distance between 2 points. Now you measure an arc sketch, you’ll see the Radius right inside the command dialog under Selection 1. Another great idea implemented!

I would like to measure the radius of curvature of the arc section as well, but I could only get the measure tool to show the distance between two points. I verified I am on the current version of Fusion 360.

Thank you for posting! 

I understand that you want to create the arc curve on the curved component in order to measure the radius. 

I would suggest you to do this way, but If I miss something, please let me know.

Yes, I believe that is what I needed. On a similar note, now that the radius of curvature is known, is there a way to create a solid with the same radius of curvature without making a sketch 4228 mm from the origin and revolve extrude it?

Thank you for replying. 

I think it would be possible by using the "PATCH". it has curvature so that it's not easy to control by "Model". 

I'm going to share how to extend with the same curvature.
