do a screen cast of what you are trying to do, you may not be doing something quite right.

If you dont know what screen cast is it's a screen capture program ADSK has for fusion 360 that's free.

also haveing your modle a a very clear explantion of what you are trying to do help a lot

Thank you for your reply. I don't really have a model to show. I was
following a tutorial on constraints. After clicking on the Horizontal /
Vertical constraint and hovering over the object to constrain I am not
being given the option of horizontal or vertical.

Hi @papae93,

I assume that you are referring here to skech constraints:

horizontal vertical.png

Here's a bit of background about this:  Originally, Fusion had separate horizontal and vertical constraints.  However, this caused some confusion, because it is not often obvious in a sketch which way is "up" (vertical).  So, customers were confused because they would hit "vertical" and their geometry would radically change.

So, instead, there is now just one command.  If the geometry you select is nearer to horizontal, then a horizontal constraint will be applied, if the geometry is closer to vertical, a vertical constraint is applied.

Generally, the feedback has been positive, but of course some users would prefer more explicit control.

We appreciate any feedback you might have.

Again thank you for your help. I found that the version I have is newer
than the tutorial. The workflow was changed. If the object angle is more
than 45 degrees it defaults to vertical. If less than 45 degrees it will go
to horizontal.
