Adding bubbles to drawing file - can't tag compoments

I know the documentation part of the project is usually the hardest, and with my Architectural background and being a Revit user I am running into some mind blocks here. I was doing a project earlier in the week and came across some difficulties that now that I have more time I would like to understand what I am doing wrong, or what setting I am overlooking.

I have the following drawing as an example. Two "assemblies" in one file. Both made up of different components and even different bodies (Mirror has multiple bodies and two components)

As you can see, I can only TAG each assembly but not the individual components or bodies.

Also,  Is there a way to change the numbers? Maybe the Mirror is number '5' in the entire project.

Before some says anything, I do not use Fusion for Architecture, but I do use it for some detailed assemblies and to understand how some things go together at the detailed level (Revit has a limitation when it comes to that).

What am I doing wrong? (besides Architecture lol)

Thank you

Hi @crullier, Thanks for your patience with us as we were all out of the office celebrating the holidays here in the US.

A Balloon (or, Tag, as your referring to it), will point to the top-level components only, which will match the data that you see in your parts list. If you'd like to be able to balloon out each body, you'll need to make sure that they are their own components at the top level (meaning they are not nested underneath eachother).

Let me know if you continue to run into any issues, hopefully this helps.

@TimeraAutodesk  Hi,

Your explanation makes sense in how the software works.

I am wondering if what I need to be able to do can be a feature modification request.  Having several top level parts (that belong in an assembly) doesn't seem like a logical approach but I could be wrong.

Does anyone have an example of how of they are annotating of tagging parts in their asseblies?  @TrippyLighting you have done large assemblies right?  How are you tagging parts, or do you not generate drawings?

Thanks guys

Hierarchical support is a feature on our short-list. For up-to-date status updates on what the Drawings team is working on, you can always visit our roadmap. You'll find this feature listed as "BOM: first / all levels" under the category Customizable Parts List & Balloons.

Not in Fusion 360.

I find that the abilities Fusion 360 currently offers for BOM and Drawings do not meet my needs.

In genreal I tend to use more than one software to get my work done. Fusion 360 is just one of them.
