Adding drop down box to toolbar

I am trying to add a dropdown button like the yellow box with command buttons like the red box.

I have added a command button at the bottom of the insert panel like the blue box and that works fine as a command button.

I just can't figure out how to get the  dropdown with command buttons.

Haven't found any sample code in the documentation addressing this.

Any help appreciated.
