Can not install inventor professional due to insuficient memory

Hello,

I have used and had installed Inventor Professional in the past. Now I am trying to install a new version (all old ones are uninstalled) but the installation can not be completed due to insufficient memory.

While this sounds like an issue which can be easily resolved by clearing some of it and creating space for the new Inventor version, in reality I have more than enough memory on my hard disc. About 13 GB are required and I have more than 700 GB available. However, every time I try to install, it tells me I have only about 11 GB available, which makes no sense.

Does anybody know what might be the problem and how to resolve it?

Many thanks in advance!

Hi!

These 700GB available are in disk C: ?

Are you trying to install it in disk C: or in another alternative location?

@CCarreiras

No, I tried to use an external disc. I already figured that I might need the space on C: as well as temporary save space, which I do not have. I am trying now to just load the already existing version from another PC.

you are doing the opposite....

That's no good solution install software in an external disk.
The software (all of them) should be installed in C: disk.
Use other disks for Documents, fotos, videos, etc.
