Are .ctb and .pcp files accessible in any version of Autocad?

Im using Autocad 2019 and sending a file to someone with Autocad 2017. I saved the actual CAD file down to 2013, but what about the .ctb? is that also affected by the different versions of autocad? I am wondering the same thing about .pcp files

Hello @marcbartolucci , backwards compatibility for these files is not a problem--in fact, I'm pretty sure that if you look into your "Plot styles" folder you'll find very old CTBs. However, PCP files will have to be converted to CTB files before using them in more recent versions of AutoCAD.

Hope this answers your questions, and if so, please accept this answer as a Solution :cara_con_una_leve_sonrisa:

How do you convert a .pcp to a .ctb on a Mac?  I cannot find a solution that works. I have been searching and trying for hours.

Thanks!

There is no function to do this in AutoCAD (LT) for MAC.

You can use AutoCAD (for windows) up to version 2023

(Command PCINWIZARD  is obsolet in 2024)
