Which Windows registry keys for Autodesk product installation?

Dear Autocad Expertise,

Here I would like to check which Windows registry keys if the PC had ever installed any version of Autodesk products in order to prevent / counter-check any illegal Autodesk products installed in the PCs.

Thanks,

You can use the FIND feature (under the EDIT menu) in the Windows Registry application, search for Autodesk and AutoCAD terms.

But it is too many key with the keywords " Autocad" or "Autodesk" .

In addition, is there any documents / websites to show the meaning of version code.

e.g. Autocad2015 - version code shown in registry is R20

       Autocad2014 - R19.1

       Autocad2013 - R19

       etc....

      How about other Autodesk product, such as Building Design Suite, Revit, ... ? what is the version code in registry?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for posting your question here. In addition to @pendean's advice to use the "Find..." feature to locate all Autodesk registry keys on a machine, you could also refer to the instructions for performing a clean uninstall of all Autodesk programs. In the section titled "Delete remaining Autodesk product entries from the Windows registry", you'll see the registry locations listed.

You can determine the version number of an AutoCAD-based program by navigating to the C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\AutoCAD 20XX folder:

AutoCAD_Version_Number.png

I can't speak to any of the products outside the AutoCAD-based programs, but there is likely to be a similar location in the folder structure of each product.

R20.1 = AutoCAD 2016

R20.0 = AutoCAD 2015

R19.1 = AutoCAD 2014

R19.0 = AutoCAD 2013

R18.2 = AutoCAD 2012

R18.1 = AutoCAD 2011

R18.0 = AutoCAD 2010

R17.2 = AutoCAD 2009

This reference came in handy, and you might find some additional useful information there for what you're trying to accomplish.
