SCALELISTEDIT not working properly
Okay, so I opened up my .DWT file, used the SCALELISTEDIT command to delete the existing scales, added the scales we needed, closed the command, and saved the file.
A while later, I needed to add another scale to the list, so I opened the DWT file again and did the SCALELISTEDIT command. I noticed that the scale list had reverted to its previous state and the scales I had added were gone.
Thinking that I had just not saved the file properly, I once again removed the unwanted scales, added the scales I wanted, and saved the file.
I opened the file again and checked the scale list just to be sure, and sure enough, the scale list had reverted back to its previous state.
Can anyone assist me on this?

Which AutoCAD version do you use? And did you install the latest updates?

It's AutoCAD 2018, and I have no idea if the latest updates were installed, as I have no control over that aspect. The IT department controls that.
I will have to get in contact with them, I guess.

Type in the command line ABOUT and post a sreenshot what you see.
A first guess: Do you have the write permissions to modify the .dwt? To test it add a new layer in the dwt, save it and check after the next open if it was saved.

... and are you sure you edit the correct .dwt-file?

Yeah, I did all the things properly, and even tested the command on ACAD and ACAD Electrical, both experiencing the same issue.
I did find out the root cause of the issue though, and it's not a setting or a version issue.
Apparently, there was a problem with XREFs and annotation scales compounding together in drawings and bogging them down, making them sluggish and poorly responsive. The solution implemented was to simply set up AutoCAD to purge all annotation scales on opening a file and repopulate the list with a single set. This resolved the sluggishness issue and increased productivity (according to them, anyway... I never saw any differences), but it screws everyone else over.
Basically, they "fixed" it.
