You can combine 2D & 2D and combine 3D & 3D, but you can't join 2D & 3D together. What kind of 2D object? How many 2D objects? One or more?
Try taking your 2D polygon and extruding it a minimal amount, say 0.0001, so it becomes 3D. Then you can use UNION command to join the thin polygon with any other 3D object.

No real way to combine 2d and 3d objects other than what was mentioned. if you are looking to keep objects together as on you might be referring to creating a block with the BLOCK command, or as a temporary method GROUP.

What do you mean with "combine 2D and 3D object(s) with each other"? Show us an (or some ) example(s) please what you have and what you want to get.

I don't know what kind of "combination" you are looking for but command group might give you another idea.
