With DYNMODE (which I despise) off and OSNAP on, when I use MEASUREGEOM to measure between 2 points, DYNMODE comes on, OSNAP turns off and DYNMODE tries to give me every dimension that I don't want and refuses to allow the endpoints of what I want to be selected. AutoCAD 2016 and before never did this. From reading other posts, this DYNMODE glitch is something recent.

What year version and variant of AutoCAD are you using?
Which MEASUREGEOM option are you using?
And are you actually setting DYNMODE to 0, or just toggling it off (-3 or something similar)? I am unable to replicate you issue in R2019.1.2 with DYNMODE set to 0.

You are describing the new quick measure tool.
Use the distance one instead.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.
