- Properties tab won’t show up, even after typing in “properties” command. Same goes for Layer Properties Manager, External References and sometimes Tool Palettes tab.
- My way of getting around that is that I would close and reopen AutoCAD multiple times until the tabs will pop up according to my previous settings or would allow me to type in the designated command to allow that specific tab to show up and dock on my screen.
- When opening a second AutoCAD session on my other screen for reference purposes such as “Read-Only” drawings typically, those tabs will never come up. Only the “Tool Palettes” tab will be the only one that typically is available. Even if I type in a command such as “properties” it won’t allow the tab to pop up for docking to the screen. I would try multiple times closing and reopening this second session of AutoCAD just like I would do with my first session but there is no change.

Hi @Anonymous
you can try using the app named "Reset Settings to Default", located alongside AutoCAD in the list of all applications accessed from the Windows Start menu.
