Draw Order Still in a Broken State.
As a drafter one of the most frustrating aspects of producing shop drawings is not having the final print match what's on the screen. Having dimensions show over solid hatches has to be one of the most basic ideas, and it works about 80% of the time. But even in acad 2020, it seems there is a threshold where AutoCAD gives up on showing draw orders properly. It seems related to either the number of items in the drawing, or drawing size, or some other magical quantity.
We can better manage the handicaps of the program if we had that number and how it was figured.
This drawing is 3.5 MB's and AutoCAD has begun to refuse to show the draw order properly in model space, even though it will print correctly. It's audited and come back clean, And like most of our drawings there are a large number of blocks, a few xrefs clipped,
I know I can quickselect all the rotated dimensions, move them off, copy paste, bring them back. But that is a jerry-rigged solution to a problem that should have been solved in the last few years.
Ive attached the drawing. Its got a load of custom blocks that you can enjoy if you are into cabinetry.
