Importing a .PNG file into autoCAD 2018

I am currently trying to import a .PNG file into autoCAD. It is a picture of a business logo, and I would like to trace it, scale it, and then export it to a CNC vinyl cutting machine. I am using autoCAD 2018, and when I attempt to import said picture, I am prompted with the message:

*logo 5.png.dwg*

Can't find file in search path - Then this is followed by a repeating list of the words C:\Users\Jake\Documents

Is there something I have done wrong with my .PNG file that it is not allowing me to import it? Thanks!

Turn on file extensions in Windows File Manager like this and see what's wrong with that portion of your file https://www.thewindowsclub.com/show-file-extensions-in-windows

After doing so, my file shows up as logo 5.png in the pictures tab of my computer library. I don't seem to see an issue?

Just make screenshot of that logo and paste it in drawing as OLE object. think that will do the job you want.

That is weird: not seeing that issue here at all.
Are you using IMAGEATTACH command?
