AutoCAD 2018 command line shape

I have recently installed AutoCAD 2018. I was using AutoCAD LT 2014 before and had ribbon/properties/xref/command line on other other screen. I like to keep these windows docked next to each other and height set as high as the monitor allows. On LT 2014 the command line could be shaped to any sized box I wish to use. I undocked 2018 command line but I am unable to change its size or shape. Is there any way to change its size and shape?

edit: I would also like to change my forum signature but was not able to find place for this procedure Emoticono indiferente

HI,

as i understand you may need to change first LOCKUI value .

>> I would also like to change my forum signature but was not able to find place for this procedure

you can reach it from the small black arrow near to your name up there ... then select MY Site Preferences

All the best ..

If the command line is docked, either top or bottom, then you should be able to pick and drag the 2 horizontal lines on the left of the command lien window above the "X", once floating you should be able select a corner and drag in any direction to resize and reshape.

You also have the Lock User Interface on the tools strip at the bottom of the window that can lock floating and docked windows.

Thanks to everyone for answers!

For some reason my cursor won't change to shape that indicates window resizability with command line when it is undocked. With xref/properties/ribbon the cursor changes its shape when it is moved to border of any of these. Is this a bug or system variable related problem?

However I managed to resize my command line to shape I prefer to use. Even when the cursor would not change its form, the window of command line could be resized.

I looked the LOCKUI system variable and it was as default set to 0. According to autodesk knowledge network, the value 8 would be best after these windows are correctly sized as it is "Floating windows locked".
