Imperial annotative Help requested
Hello,
Would someone have an imperial .dwg file they don't mind 'sharing'. I guess I've been away from ACAD for too long, as I can't seem to get the setup of the floor plan. The other plans and drawings will follow after the first sheet has been properly setup, once the proper annotative text and dims are all setup. I am working on a small renovation project approx 5000sf using a 22x34 titleblock (which I have)
Yes I am requesting to do this the 'easy' way as I simply cannot figure this out. I don;t want to draw everything in model space title block etc and print from the same, nor do I want to annotate in Pspace.
If you have something I can use that would be great. If not thanks for reading.

Hi,
it's already exist in AutoCAD template list , you can start one from Ctrl+N ,
The menu should include the following two template files:
- acad.dwt (for Imperial units)
- acadiso.dwt (for metric units)
Regards,
Imad Habash

Salam, appreciate the .dwt info. However what I was hoping to get from somewhere a dwg file 2017 that has the annotative text and dims already setup. Standard notational text, room label text etc.
Also how would you recommend to do legends and schedules for this small project.
I dont have the ability to use the office standards as I'm not working, am trying to get things going at home.
Thanks

In Autocad "annotative text" has a specific connotation, one which is different than what you appear to be asking for. Are you asking for blocks and standard notes, or text/dimension styles which are annotative along with appropriate imperial annotation scales?
If you are going to fly by the seat of your pants, expect friction burns.
"I don't know" is the beginning of knowledge, not the end.

How does the attached file look? Am I on the right track?
Please feel free to revise if you like.
Thx again.
This time with the attachment!

Would you be able to comment / revise this so it reflects the correct annotative dims and text:
1) Room labels
2) general notation (w/ leader) and notes
3) title over Gen notes etc.
