Hi,
>> i cannot find it anywhere in my 2019 AutoCAD mechanical version.
make sure that you have an active ribbon up there at your CAD screen like the one in the image below , and you can get it by RIBBON command , from Annotate tab . also you can type _DIM command in the command line to get it . when you open Annotate tab some times Tabs and Panels are NOT there ... but you can get them by right click ( yellow star in the image ) and check them .

That is a new feature available in 2020.

Imad,
Thanks for the _dim command line action and it does work if I type it in. I do have the ribbon and annotate panel but unfortunately i don't have this particular icon shown. i'm starting to think that this might only be available in Vanilla AutoCAD and not Mechanical (it looks like you're running standard and not Mechanical). If you know how i can add this to the ribbon it would be greatly appreciated. our users tend to use the ribbon (or menu's) rather than typing in the command line.

In that case I would ask in the forum for AutoCAD Mechanical >>>there<<<.

from Autodesk Help ( AutoCAD Mechanical provides a single command, AMPOWERDIM, to create all types of dimensions. )
