I really don't know if this is basic AutoCad or what? But I have a set of drawings (floorplans) of some large buildings.
All workstations (table, chair etc.) is set up as a block. Attributes are the number of the workstation and the initials of the current user.
When I extract the list I would love to include the position of the block, ie. where is it located within the building. I was thinking of drawing polylines around certain areas, and the extract would then need to include what polyline encloses the different blocks. Is this doable?
Or perhaps I need to work with coordinates etc?
I haven't got a lot of experience with this, so what I'm basically asking is, if it's doable for someone like me
