Problems with layouts

Hi,

Firstly apologies if I'm posting in the wrong place. I'm very new to AutoCAD and I really need help, I'm using the 2019 student version.

I've drawn up a model and I'm trying to get the model to display in a viewport on a layout template. I've double checked that no layers are frozen and they are all switched on. I've tried new layouts over and over and I just can't get the drawing model to show up in a layout.

Is there some special thing you are supposed to do that I've forgotten?

I've spent so much time on this drawing and probably more now try to view the finished model on a layout and it's driving me crazy. Please help.

Refer this : Viewports display blank in paper space in AutoCAD

Don't bother about the Graphic Card mention.

If possible upload your file here.

I just checked your file and was not able to find a viewport in the paperspace(layout).

Incase if you don't know how to create a viewport:

  1. Click on the Layout tab
  2. Type MVIEW(enter)
  3. Pick 2 points(same as how you draw a rectangle)
  4. Now zoom the viewport and arrange as required.

This would be the perfect time to learn about creating named views while in model space, and then when in paper space insert that view.   In model space, using the Ribbon, go to the View tab, Named Views panel, use the New View command there.  In paper space, using the Ribbon, go to the Layout tab, Layout Viewports panel, use the Insert View command to place.  Scale can be changed during insertion or after the fact.

This doesn't mean you should have objects a long ways away from your main model, just a way to ensure you get what you are expecting.
