AutoCAD 2019 DXF Export Won't Reload and Corrupted
Hi,
I am trying to export DWG files to DXF for use in a third party application, but every DXF I export does not load into the third party application (says the files are corrupted and to check if they load in AutoCAD). When I try to load them in AutoCAD (within 1 minute of exporting successfully), the DXF file will not load. I just get a black screen and a message that says, "press enter to proceed." When I press enter, it loads nothing and returns to the home screen. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I tried different versions of DXF files, tried ASCII and Binary, and tried to remove the linetype dependency:
Any recommendations or advice. I am amazed I cannot load them back into AutoCAD after they appear to have been successfully exported (or saved as dxf).

Hi,
can you please upload the dwg-file that can't be saved as DXF?
And which version of DXF did you try to save to?

Sorry but the project is high profile and I cannot upload it here. I will try to create a DXF from a benign drawing and upload it.
I actually saved it in several different versions of DXF...all the way down to 07.
The drawings are 3D, so maybe the file needs to be flat 2D before I export it?

Hi,
>> I actually saved it in several different versions of DXF...all the way down to 07.
First please save in current DXF-format (DXF 2018), everything older than that could result in missing or incorrect items for those which can't be converted to an older object type.
Also please make sure you have plain AutoCAD and your dwg-file does not contain proxies. Saving proxies or objects from vertical applications also might have issues when saving to DXF.

Then you don't have the same content any more.
Maybe important to help: which reason do you have to save the file to DXF, what should happen then with the data?
