Why OVERKILL does not work on Ellipses?

Why OVERKILL does not work on Ellipses?

Hi,

>> Why OVERKILL does not work on Ellipses?

As long as your ellipses are not converted to polylines it's as designed!

From the help >>>here<<<:

Removes duplicate or overlapping lines, arcs, and polylines.

Why does it work in one of my local files?  If you have time can you please do a test on this file? I was able to overkill my ellipse.

Hi,

Rotate or mirror your second ellipse ... then try _OVERKILL again.

Hi,

OVERKILL are working on Ellipses https://autode.sk/2GEAMEs

1. Check center Z value is "0"

2. Enter new value for PEDITACCEPT <0>

Hi,

>> These two ellipses are different axis, so how command work ???

Overkill should find overlapping geometry, independent of a line that goes from right to left or left to right ... and so an axis of an ellipse going from right to left or left to right.

And I guess that's why Autodesk did not mention the ellipse object in the help of command _OVERKILL.

What does PEDITACCEPT have to do with it? That just controls whether or not you get an extra prompt during the PEDIT command if you choose an entity that is not a polyline.
