Would have been nice to know these were overlays 3-weeks ago when you started this thread.
So an Xref overlay is not part of the master file like Xref attachments: so how is AutoCAD finding them if there is no path, are all files in the same exact folder as the master file?
In the XREF command pop-up palette, overrlays have paths to the file in the FOUND AT section at the bottom: same as the master file?
I have to agree, it seems your MAC based server is interfering here.
