Dull Colored Lines

Tried searching the forum, but couldn't find a solution!

Since upgrading to 2018, the colors on my file in model space look really dull so it is really hard drafting on my eyes. Any solutions!? (Besides booking an eye appointment). Wen i click on layer manager you can see the difference. It looks like everything is in XREF but is not.

Thank you!

so I tried this out - what number should it be? (it looks to be at 50). I tried 0, 90, -90 no difference.

Sorry - I didn't mention that none of my layers are locked. But this seems like it could be a solution for non locked layers.

I saw this too in an earlier post. This also did not help. I asked a coworker if its just me and my eyes, but she agreed it wasnt as vibrant.

Switch her monitor and check, keep hers if it helps ☺

Are any objects with 'dull colors' on a layer with transparency greater than 0? To determine if any layers have a transparency value, check the transparency column in the Layers Prop Mgr. If you don't want the objects to plot transparent, change the value to 0 so they'll appear solid and plot solid too. If you want the object to appear normal in modelspace but still plot transparent when you print, then you can turn off the transparency while in modelspace and simultaneously maintain the transparency during the plot.

1-Transparency column in Layer Prop Mgr.1-Transparency column in Layer Prop Mgr.2-Variable is transparencydisplay (description shown above).2-Variable is transparencydisplay (description shown above).

haha too obvious! I'll take someone else's!

But seriously thanks so much for your help. There is clearly something wrong in the modeling space because everything looks fine in the paper space or in layer management. When i open the layer manager you can see the difference of the colors.

THanks! I already checked and they are all 0.

What are you using for a background color?  The default dull-grey background has that kind of "feel" to my eye, but I set the background to be Black, and things are much clearer.

wow. Thank you so much, i did not even realize that my background was not pure black. This does give relief to my eyes, but the lines still dont look right. is there a possibility that maybe the lines are too thin?

Turn off hardware acceleration in GRAPHICSCONFIG command, does that help?

sorry no!

Then its not the program alone, it may be overwhelming them: what is your video card?
Can you post screenshots of your ABOUT and GRAPHICSCONFIG commands pop-ups?
