When I try to apply user defined .pat, it just creates solid fill.

Hello,

I recently saved a .pat from a stone website, using Autodesk's instructions for saving new hatch patterns. When I go to "Options" under "Hatch Creation", I click "User Defined" under "Type", find the pattern under "Swatch", and I can see the pattern, but at this point "Pattern" defaults to "SOLID" and I can't change it. So when I pick the area I want hatched, it fills the area with a solid color. I've attached a screen shot of the options described above.

Hi @Anonymous,

Is it possible to share the PAT file with me? I know that some of th  hatch patterns available from a specific vendor are not written to be totally compliant with the AutoCAD Hatch definition and this perhaps might be the problem.

I would like to see if the hatch pattern behaves the same for me and if there is a way to correct it.

Please also tell me which version of AutoCAD you are using.

Change the hatch scale on that pop-up from 0.25 to 1 then 10 then 100 then 1000 and see if it's just incorrectly coded for your needs.

Hi,

I've been trying to attach the .pat file, without success.

When I changed the scale to 1, then .50. nothing showed up in the area.

Ok, when I changed it to 10, the pattern shows up, very small. Thank you!
