Hi @Anonymous,
I wanted to make sure that you had applied all the updates to your AutoCAD 2018. Please check to see that it is current through your Autodesk Desktop App of through your account page.
You image unfortunately, doesn't tell me very much. If you drop the down arrow at the Files of Type field what other choices are there? I can see from the dialog window title too that you selected to attach a point file and not an image.
Please try typing in the commands I provided to see if that allows you to attach images. If so, then we need to verify that the icons you are selecting are the correct ones and that they are working properly.
