CUI changes are not being applied

I keep my layer palette docked at the top of my window, below the ribbon. It glitched and was too large and kept docking above the ribbon, I was able to fool with it enough to get it below the window. But now it is too thin and is showing one row of a layer at a time. I did the cui command and went to change the height of the palette in the workspace but when I select apply to accept the changes, no changes are made to the palette. How do I fix this?

You shouldn't need to mess with the cui. Just hover over the boundary between the palette and the dwg, then click and drag to stretch the palette wider.

The palette is docked at the top.

Like Ed, i don't know what the problem is, why you can not resize the palette?

Or un-dock, re-dock?

And when you deal with with your workspace (change size for docked palettes  how can you do this??),

then you forgot to reload the workspace?

Perhaps you should upload screenshot to share of what you see.

I see that the ui does not allow resizing when docked at the top. Try undocking, resize the palette and redock.

Post a high-res screenshot of your fully expanded AutoCAD program window please. Let us see what you see.

The goal is to get the palette taller. I've had it set before, but I've had it set for so long I don't remember how I originally had it set to be thicker. I know it is possible because its how I've always had it set up, but my cad glitched and undid my ui setup.Screenshot (4)_LI.jpg

Hover your cursor at one of the edges you marked in red, wait for it to change shape to an up-down arrow look, then click and drag. Takes some delicate mouse movement.

As far as I know, you cant drag a palettes edge if its docked at the top of the window.

You are correct, I could have sworn I had done it before today, but it appears not.
I cannot even resize it in CUI command.

You must have done registry edit previously.

I like quick access to my layers as well, but I drop in the "Properties" toolbar instead. It gives me some additional layer flexibility without losing a ton of screen space. The default toolbar might be different than what I have shown... looks like I added a macro button that resets the layer filters to "all".

By the way, sometimes I change my UI and they settings don't keep... I usually create a custom workspace name and if I change or move things around, I resave the workspace with the WSSAVE command (and overwrite my previous workspace name).

I created a new workspace called "TEST" under "Land" After that I copied "Land" and "test" to a network drive and then I set up my Main & Enterprise. I then went into custom interface and transfer "TEST.cui" to my custom.cui. That went great. But my custom toolbar icons are all jacked.
