Hi,
it looks like you are using drag & drop to insert the fbx-file, that does not work.
Instead please start command _IMPORT, in the dialog select *.fbx as filetype, then select your file.

Hi,

"does not work" means what?
What did you start, what did you get as response?
I had no issue getting your file imported (find attached)

Hi,
you have 3 options to answer the dialog you showed in your screenshot, which one have you tried (and which one not)?

oh sorry i don't know what i was thinking and yes i have tried all 3 but it doesn't work. Everytime I pick one of the options convert selected objects to 3d solids computer just freezes and if i wait and open task manager i can see that computer is doing some work because it uses all the ram and after a few minutes the object just returns to it' original state.

Hi,
this object has about 250.000 edges, to convert that from a mesh to a solid or to a surface is not a thing of 2 seconds.
What for do you really need that object, what is the final goal?

Hi,
>> i want to do some 3d editing on the object
I would not see AutoCAD as the best package for editing such a geometry, even other products will have issues as these are not editable geometry parts (like splines based extrusions or something like that).
The preferred method (my opinion) to create a new objects based on that would be to have that object like a background info and to start a new construction (using object snaps, to have a relation to the size).
