CADRA Conversion
My company would be only too happy to purchase a conversion program to convert CADRA (.cad) files to .dwg, were it sold by Autodesk!!!
I know we are not alone in this wish.

Unfortunately this solution didn't work for me. When I type "RECOVER" in AutoCAD 2018, I only get the option to open .dwg. .dws, .dwt or .dxf NOT .cad (or all files).

I think you missed a step in the process. It says that the .cad file have to be exported to dwg or dfx by Cadra, then you open the resulting files with the recover option.

Ah thank you, you are correct. Unfortunately we don't have CADRA, just a bunch of old .cad files that my client is trying to see. I think we are out of luck. ![]()
