Hi Barbara,

Since you have subscription support with us, and this forum thread went for three days with no solution (i.e., no one clicked "Accept as Solution" on any post), a support case was automatically created in your name in our system. That is how I came to this thread!

In your last post you mentioned that you have contacted Autodesk Support. I don't see another support case under your name. Do you have a case number? You should have recieved an email back after submitting the support request. I'd like to make sure it came into our system correctly and also make sure two of us over here are not working on the same thing. You did ask a couple posts ago how to contact support. I am wondering if you got into our Customer Care departement instead of Technical Support.

Back to the issue you are dealing with... I think that a Mac server is going to fall outside the realm of supported environments. Take a quick look at this article:

Keep in mind that just because something isn't supported doesn't mean it won't work. However, you may get intermittnet functionality, or even perfect functionality for a time and then sudden failure and vice versa.

What version of Windows is on your computer?

Would you describe a quick step-by-step that leads to the "dwg file not found at current location" error? Is it right when opening a drawing, when opening the xref palette, a baloon pop-up, or when in the xref palette and trying to re-attach a file? Getting a screen shot from you might help.

Try testing the following to see if you can prove functionalithy and pinpoint the problem:

  1. Is it only your workstation that cannot access xref files on the server?
  2. Are you able to xref files on your local hard drive?
  3. Are you able to xref files at a share on another workstation?
  4. If you move files to a different folder/directory on the Mac server, can you get to them there?
  5. If the server is doing any type of mirroring, see if you can turn that off and test again.
