Autocad does not run on my laptop ( STOP CODE "VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE")
Hello,
I have an issue running AutoCAD on my laptop. I downloaded and installed any of previous version (2017,18,19), but every time I start using it is giving me the error Stop code: "VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE" and my laptop restart again.
I took my laptop to Microsoft IT department and they told me to contact Autodesk team as they say that the laptop is fine to run AutoCAD.
Thanks,
Vincent Rutahintare

don’t why microsoft told you its a autodesk problem
if you look up this error on the internet it points to a graphics card problem or driver

Hi @Anonymous,
This error is thrown when a graphics system is not responding. Try uninstalling the current driver and using the last one or even the default driver that came with your system. You can then upgrade it incrementally to newer versions as appropriate.
Please select the Accept as Solution button if my post solves your issue or answers your question.

I try every solution they suggested,
( deinstall& install graphich) ,but still Autocad does not run on my laptop.
Here is my laptop specs :
Dell XPS 15 Touch Laptop: i5-7300HQ,15.6" 4K, 8GB DDR4, 256GB SSD

And what do you think about these specification:
Dell XPS 15 Touch Laptop: i5-7300HQ,15.6" 4K, 8GB DDR4, 256GB SSD
That is my laptop and I think it is able to handle autocad.

again this is not an Autodesk issue
did you look up this error message on the internet?
where does it say this is caused by Autodesk software?
this is a hardware problem nothing more not Autocad
get in touch with dell ASAP & have them fix this issue
