Drawing on a round surface in autocad 3d

Hi all,
Would you help about the issue below, please?
Imagine a rod having 20 mm diameter and its length is 300 mm. This is drawn as solid element in AutoCAD. I'm trying to draw another rod interfere with this rod at midpoint of its length with an angle 105 degrees. The angle is on the cross-section of the rod. If this was not rod i could move ucs to the desired plane. But in this case we have round surface so ucs did not work. Thank you and best wishes.

One way is to draw a line from the center of the end of the rod to the other center.  Now rotate the ucs, create the new rod and move it by half its length to get the two to cross at the middle of each.
