ACAD 2004 Auth Code Not Working

I have a copy of ACAD 2004 which I wish to use for personal purposes only. I used to work in land surveying so I'm familiar with the software. I will be using it only for myself and nothing commercial at all.

I have used this copy for years for personal home use. But now after installing ACAD on my new computer, it will not accept my serial number and auth code.

Please help.

Thank you!

AutoCAD can only be used on one computer at a time. Call Autodesk and let them know you got a new computer and need a new authorization code. You will need the serial number to verify it is a valid, paid copy.

Hmmm. I used to run it on my laptop and desktop at the same time, without any issues.

Thanks for the reply.

I forgot about that ability, but now you would be putting it on 3 computers and Autodesk won't let you.

Naturally I deleted it from those old ones, but I guess they don't know that.

You're going to have to call them, or your original reseller.

quick question (since I don't recall what codes 2004 required)  possibly an operating system problem?  since current OS did not exist back when 2004 was released....

That’s possible, although I thought I had it running in Win10 on an earlier PC.

Thanks, I’ll try calling them tomorrow.
