Polyline linetype

Hi,

I have a problem with polyline. It has dashed linetype but some of its segments visualize in a wrong way - as continuous. The linetype scale is right as you can see on the picture. If I hoover over the polyline, I can see the preview of completly dashed line.

In paper space it looks the same way, only when I zoom really a lot regen all I can see the line is correct.
 Please help, it's really confusing.

Thanks,

Jana

Post that DWG file and remind everyone what variant and year-version of AutoCAD you are using please.

Are you sure your segments are long enough for a linetype pattern, or is the polyline set to generates linetypes(last property in palette)

I tried already both linetype generation on and off and I have changed only when I hoovered over it, in the preview. segments are long enough, even if i change linetype scale of the polyline it is not getting better.

Your polyline and setting looks fine, Did you test that with exactly the provided file, just open the file and it looks like your picture?

command: 3Dconfig

Set HardwareAcceleration on or off changes nothing ?

command REGEN ?

2DRETAINMODE=0 ? (only for testing)

Helped turning off the hardware acceleration!

REGEN and 2DRETAINMODE=0 did nothing.

And yes, I had problem with exactly that file. Could you please explain me in a simple way (if it is possible) what is the difference between hardware acceleration on and off? I have to say, that I had already problem with construction lines when HA was on.  So I don't know if it is usefull to keep it on...

Thank you a lot for your help!

Your graphic-driver is not the right or not uptpdate,

or/and

your Settings are not set properly

or/and

your graphic card/chipset (or there drivers)  only partially support the required functions for AutoCAD.
