Hello
When I copy and paste one drawing into my clipboard and then my other drawing, its comes in really tiny and I can't find how to re scale it? both drawings are set at the same scale so not sure why or what to do?
I'm a bit of a newbie, so any step by step idiots guide help would be greatly appreciated? ![]()

Hi,
please start command _UNITS in both files and make sure the units are set to correct values.

@Alfred.NESWADBA's response is correct most of the time but there are other things that might be causing the problem:
Are you copying from model space in one drawing to paper space in another drawing?
When you say the same scale are you referring to inches vs. feet or the scale of the printed drawing (1"=10')?
If you post both drawings we can give you some more ideas if the drawing units are the same.

Yes, @neaton's offer is a good hint.
Here is mine.
Before pasting, you may have to ensure what is the scale factor comparing between the source drawing and the target drawing. Then
- use "Ctrl + C" on the source drawing and
- "Ctrl + V" on the target drawing,
- type s immediately.
- enter the scale factor at the command prompt.
- you will be fine.
BTW this may be off the topic but hope it is a good practice in the future.
Drawing everything in model space with 1:1 scale all time.
For example, in model space draw a 10 unit length line for your 10mm line.
