AutoCAD freezes at startup on Windows 10
hey team,
I'm hoping someone has had similar issues. I have multiple networked AutoCAD 2016 having intermittent issues with freezing for a few seconds every few minutes.
Its a **** frustrating issue as it seems to have no rhyme or reason.. those using AutoPLANT V8I are by and large unaffected.
Machines are spec'd well
Intel core CPU 2.70ghz
32gig ram
64 bit operating system
timeout increased to 10000000 in registry variable.
Windows 10 version 1703 (os build 15063.0)
Its an issue that has been with us for a couple of months and about the same time as machines were rolled out with windows 10.
Software : Autodesk AutoCAD 2016 SP1 x 64 BIT with network license.
Things I have done are
1.disabled A360
2.disabled the communication centre with regedit changing 1 to 0
3.disabled hardware acceleration.
4. confirmed autoCAD is pointing to the best graphics card (ie. non intergrated graphics card)
5. made sure "autodesk content service" is disabled
I am unclear if its a windows patch or something deeper... while it may seem to be a small issue, thru the course of a day it equates to lost time..
any insight / thoughts would be appreciated.
