The actual .dwg file that houses all of the references is around 4MB. There are 7 external references to the drawing. Most are under 1MB, but one is around 12MB, another is 3.28MB, and the other is 2.18MB. The files aren't that large in my opinion. These files are all being pulled from my C: drive as well. 

 

"FYI your PC specs are about average these days for most of us users." is that for 3D modeling, or just CAD in general? I have AutoCAD 2017 on my machine, would that help the performance by changing over to it? Also, would you recommend and hardware upgrades from my current specs to possibly help performance?
