why SELECTIONCYCYLING keeps changing every time

I work with a CAD file, the system variable SELECTIONCYCLING of which is 0. When I open up another CAD file, where this number is also 0. When I come back to the first file, this system variable changed to 2 without notice. I am wondering why system variable keeps changing every time without notice. Even though the CPU do not have enough calculation capacity, the program should provide some notice to the user. This design flaw is very annoying, I hope the software engineer could fix it asap.

My selectioncycling kept changing, and I discovered that CTRL+W changes it and I was accidentally hitting that when I was trying to hit CTRL+E which I have set up as a shortcut for endpoint.

Hi,

Same Issue,  but different system variable Pick first changed 0 to 1 without notice.

it had something to do with AVG running during a session. But that is truly just a guess. Once I got everyone to stop running the virus check during working hours the problems seem to have settled down. Is this really the cause and solutions? I doubt it but it seems to be working for me.
