I have a drawing with an existing hatch. When I inherit the properties of this hatch and pick two new areas to hatch, the two resulting hatches are different from the existing hatch and also different form each other.
I've checked properties and they're all the same.
Any clues as to why this might be happening?

Without checking your file, sorry if i am wrong.
One created based on metric pattern definition (acadiso.pat) and the other by imperial definition (acad.pat).
It is controlled by MEASUREMENT [F1]
Set this to the right value.
If you have assoc. Hatches, take a grip and move them to the same place, the hatch should update now.
The different scale factor is 25.4 (or 1/25.4).

Thanks for your prompt reply.
Yes it was the MEASUREMENT setting that was causing the problem.
The drawing was an older revision that required updating and the MEASUREMENT setting had changed at some point. In the old drawing the hatch inherited properties works ok.
Thank you for your help.
