Hi John,
Thanks for the response.
Nothing running that shouldn't be in task manager. Like I said previously it's a brand new reload of Windows 1709 (16299.309) with AutoCAD 2018 (O.49.0.0)installed. Drives are mapped with GP. All the other software running on the system is the same that runs on all our non engineering systems and they haven't experienced this particular problem with File Explorer randomly closing/crashing out.
I have multiple users having the same problem so I know it can't be related to one particular user. It happens on all our systems we currently have AutoCAD loaded on whether or not it is in use or not.
No errors are logged for it in Event Viewer when it happens. I've had users notify me the instant they had it happened so I could check the logs to see, but found no logged errors or problems.
Been trying to isolate it for a couple weeks now without much luck. I've uninstalled all versions and instances I found of AutoCAD on the PC. Then completely reinstalled AutoCAD 2018. Still had same issue happen afterwards. Then recently did the nuclear option of a total clean install of Windows 10 and AutoCAD 2018. But it keeps rearing it's ugly head each time.
