I have never seen this issue before.  Which version of Windows 10 Version of 1709 are you running on the workstation (type WINVER)? When working on this computer if you keep an eye on Task Manager is there anything running that shouldn't be?  What type of drive mapping do you use (local or group policy or login script)?

 

What Security software is running on this workstation and if you disable it temporarily does the problem still exist?

 

What happens if you log on as a different user on this workstation? 

 

Do you see any errors in the Windows Event log?

 

 

I know, a lot of questions here but I hope that I can isolate this quickly for you.
