Extrude not making a solid

I joined the parts, properties say it's planar and closed but still creates surface.

I exploded the join since i want to keep the straight lines as straight as possible, and if i join to the curve it'l be a spline

Try making a REGION inside there.  That will Extrude into a 3D Solid.

You can use PRESSPULL for an enclosed area.

Hi @Karol-Or,

I had no problem creating a solid from the outline using PRESSPULL as suggested by @warren.geissler.

[EXTRUDE vs. PRESSPULL depends on exactly what kind of result you're after.  EXTRUDE has the advantages over PRESSPULL that you can Extrude along a Path, or with Taper, if either of those is needed.  PRESSPULL has the advantage that you can do it on a shape bounded by more than one object as in your example, without a middle-man Region as in my suggestion.]
