  to my mind, that doesn't seem a very "user-centric"  move on the part of AutoDesk - a development environment that doesn't throw useful error messages?!

 

  Thanks very much for your offer to look at my drawing - I've attached it to this post - as you can see, it's something I was modelling for fun than for any "serious" reason :cara_con_una_leve_sonrisa:

 

  I've centred the view on the lofting operation I'm trying to get working - there are two profiles - a 6-sided polygon and a 4-sided, long thin rectangle, joined by six polylines I'm trying to use as guides.  Selecting any of the guides during the loft causes a modelling error.

 

  I think the problem is related to how close together the two profiles are - if I move them apart slightly, some of the guides are accepted, but still not all of them!

 

  Then again, it could be anything causing it to fail!
