Hi,
I'm new to AutoCad tool assigned with the task of designing a PCB using AutoCad, So following are issue I'm facing right now:
1. To route a trace we are using lines instead is there any option to draw a path or anything similar?? As of now we need to draw two parallel lines to indicate a path.
2. There is no net connectivity i.e,. to have a virtual connectivity between two points with similar name. How can we establish a connectivity between two points as we do it in other tools like allegro

Yes this would be useful but is there any way to give line names to establish the connectivity? like point A connects to another point A .

1. Another approach would be Polylines with width, which are far easier to work with in some ways than Mlines, and can have curves. And when all laid out, there are routines out there that will convert them to two zero-width Polylines following their edges.
2. I'm not sure what "connectivity" means in terms meaningful in AutoCAD, such as how it would relate to drawn objects, or be used in drawing of more objects, or whatever the purpose is. You could presumably give a point [the term in Post 1 -- or is it a line, as in Post 4?] a "name" by making it into a BLOCK, but that doesn't feel like the right approach, especially if applied to Lines. By "point," do you mean just a location, or a Point entity such as made with the POINT or DIVIDE or MEASURE command, or some other kind of object with a pinpointable location, such as a Block or Circle? Would putting things on the same Layer serve the purpose of relating them to each other, in place of giving them the same "name"? Or GROUPing them?

I meant electrical connectivity. Say there is a pin(shape)A at some distance there is one more pin(shape)A this means these pins(shapes) should be connected by anything(lines plines mlines) and no other line should cross if it does it is electrical short practically. So I'm looking for someway to achieve the above case in my drawings. It is very critical have these info for a electrical designs

I'm not sure whether AutoCad electrical will support PCB designs as I saw some videos on youtube they are basically for the PLC connectivity designs.

I recalled that someone I know used to be involved with something that sounded quite similar to that, and they sent me this to pass along, in case it's of any use to you:
The software was called “AutoRouter” and piggy-backed on an installation of AutoCAD.
I think, it may have been acquired by Autodesk themselves.

if an Autodesk product, maybe that is more powerful compared to draw PCB layouts in AutoCAD >>>Autodesk Eagle<<<
