AutoCAD 2017 for Sheet Set Manager is giving us PDF errors. We've setup template to A1 but it prints to the wrong size. See attached sample of print error

Did using the 2014.pc3 file work? You may have made changes to the out of the box .pc3 file you don't remember doing as most .pc3 files are quite a few years old and have never changed. My 2018 out of the box DWG To PDF.pc3 file is dated 10/2014,
Lots of system variable settings could be affecting this and some default settings changed between 2014 and 2017. I agree with @pendean something is different.

I think someone here can help if you post a drawing or your template. You can strip it of everything except your titleblock which you could also strip clean of info you don't want to share, too.
What version of AutoCAD are you using? Any verticals (Architecture, Civil 3D)? Are all service packs and updates installed?

To confirm, are you still using the AutoCAD PDF drivers from 2014? If so, they were updated in 2016 (pretty sure this is the version that the changes occurred in). We ran into a PDF issue on output, not related specifically to paper size but a batch plotting issue with Sheet Set Manager. We were using an older version of the PDF driver that comes with AutoCAD (stored on our network for all CAD users to access), which seems to have causes the issue. Driver's were updated (information below) and the PDF output worked again.
The 4 updated AutoCAD PDF drivers are shown below (FYI - there is no longer a DWG to PDF.pc3)
- AutoCAD PDF (General Documentation).pc3
- AutoCAD PDF (High Quality Print).pc3
- AutoCAD PDF (Smallest File).pc3
- AutoCAD PDF (Web and Mobile).pc3
As a suggestion.... take a copy of AutoCAD PDF (General Documentation).pc3 and RENAME it to DWG to PDF.pc3. Next, BACKUP and REPLACE the PDF AutoCAD driver you were previously using. Restart AutoCAD and try to print again using all the settings as they were prior.....
IMPORTANT NOTE: You need a copy of all (4) of the AutoCAD PDF drivers in your pathed plotting support folders. (Options --> Files --> Printer Support File Path --> Printer Configuration and Printer Description File Search Paths). Additionally, include a 5th PDF PC3 which is a copy of AutoCAD PDF (General Documentation).pc3 byt renamed to DWG to PDF.pc3). This ensures that your existing page setups will work and you won't need to recreate/update them for the revised PC3 "names". If the 4 default drivers are not present in your pathed folder, you may experience output issues (we did).
This solved our issues as the drivers needed to be updated to the revised versions. Good Luck, hopefully this helps and ultimately resolves your PDF output issues. Worth a try....
