Mouse movement precision

Hello Forum...  thanks in advance for your reply's.

Mouse movements are not precise when moving around in AutoCAD.  I have a Logitech optical mouse that works wonderfully in the Microsoft products or any other program, however, in AutoCAD there seems to be a very slight delay between when I move the mouse and when the crosshairs move on the screen.  As soon as the computer "realizes"  the mouse is moving, the hairs try to "catch up".    I just got a new Lenovo 27" monitor and now the mouse seems to have a discontinuity/lag between my hand movement and what occurs on the screen.  Any suggestion on a remedy to this would be great.

when working on a smaller screen this either does not happen or the effect is minimized due to the smaller screen, not 100% sure.

Hi,

there you can find some suggestions for slow mouse >>>click<<<

I would like to add that updating AutoCAD could help. As I don't know which version of AutoCAD you have (command _ABOUT) you need to find out if there is an update available by yourself. Also start command _GRAPHICSCONFIG and make sure AutoCAD finds your correct graphic card (if you upload a screenshot from that dialog that might help us to give you suggestions to that).

In addition to other replies... what are your PC specs, OS, video card and exact AutoCAD version please?

This is what I could find:

Windows 10  - 64 bit

2017 Autocad

Lenovo Thinkpad Core i7 vPro , 2.60 GHz 16.0 Gb

As far as a graphics card goes there are 2 listed but I don't know how to tell which one AutoCAD is using:

Intel HD Graphics 5520

NVIDIA Quadro M500M

Thanks: that helps, you have a good system that is not underpowered.

The split-video cards scenario may be the culprit: explore this topic and see if you can get the NVIdia to be used https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/AutoCA...

That's why I asked to start command _GRAPHICSCONFIG and show us the screenshot :cara_guiñando_un_ojo:
