Fillet in AutoCAD 2018
I had my own company for years using Autocad the last version being release 14. Now trying to catch up on 2018, I find the fillet command to be challenging. Is there another option besides holding the shift key down to make a corner? Would like to just type fillet to continue working on getting corners to mend.

Fillet has not changed much since R14. What exactly is the problem? Maybe show us with a screencast? [ https://knowledge.autodesk.com/search-result/caas/simplecontent/content/download-autodesk-screencast... ]
Are you working on 2D geometry or 3D objects?

Sounds like you have a radius set in your FILLET command: look at the command line for messages from the program.
