AutoCAD BOM sequence ?
In order to create a BOM I should create all the "PART REFERENCE" items within a drawing. Then I can make the "PARTS LIST" or BOM. Is that the correct way to build a BOM?

Hi @Anonymous,
I made a quick viedo for another customer a little bit ago. He was asking basically the same thing. I would create your parts as blocks with any pertinent property data that you want to capture as Attributes in the block. Then run a Dataextraction to get your BOM.
If you have some sample parts/data, I am happy to help you work through this process.

Very good, thank you. Let me check if the Data Link is enough. I am trying to learn AutoCAD BOM process. They do not have reference manuals here and I get frustrated or overwhelmed with the online manuals and forums. I truly appreciate your help. I am at work and don't think it is appropriate to watch videos here.

The chief has me on a new project. So he is putting that project aside for
now. I am so thankful for your help and will watch it ASAP.
