Hello everyone,
I'm newbie with autocad and Ive just started 3d drawing and I need some help with my project. As you can see in the photos, I don't know how to make areas marked in red, you can see my progress in the first drawing. And I have problems making annotations - like when I'm trying to put annotation on my cylinder which is 40 in length the annotation doesn't go with the height, it goes on the ground and doesn't attach to the cylinder like it does in the photo. Also I would like to know if my progress which Ive done is right and if I'm making my drawing correct according to the example. Thank You.

Hi,

You can create dimensions only in the current UCS, so if you need a vertical dimension, then create an UCS that defines a vertical plane for your dimensions.
>> I don't know how to make areas marked in red
Create BOX and then one time command _UNION (for the lower missing object) and one time command _SUBTRACT for the upper (horizontal) box.
