Trimming an arc in 3D

 Hello people,

I'm trying to trim an arc with a line cuttşng edge in a 3D but somehow i cannot. At first picture, you can see the plan view and UCS is world. I type trim, selects the line, enter, select the part of the arc to be trimmed; but nothing happens. At second picture, you may see they actualy dont intersect.

When i try a line instead of arc, it works, but somehow, it doesnt work for arcs.

Also when i try to change UCS randomly, it trims but not as i want.

So this has to be something about UCS. How do you find the best UCS for trimming an arc?

Thanks

HI,

i suggest to use Project (view) option from trim command . it will works as seen from below image.

Command: tr TRIM
Current settings: Projection=View, Edge=Extend
Select cutting edges ...
Select objects or <select all>: 1 found

Select objects:
Select object to trim or shift-select to extend or
[Fence/Crossing/Project/Edge/eRase/Undo]:
Does not intersect with the cutting edge.

Select object to trim or shift-select to extend or
[Fence/Crossing/Project/Edge/eRase/Undo]: p
Enter a projection option [None/Ucs/View] <View>: v
Select object to trim or shift-select to extend or
