A360 and Cloud Sync, End of Life

I've started receiving notifications from A360 Desktop, that it is going to be discontinued.

What's happening with this? Is it being replaced with something else?

These sort of things, are what make me reluctant to use cloud services, as opposed to saving files/documents on my local machine or server.

I had previously questioned the functionality of AutoCAD's "Settings Cloud Sync" and it's short comings, in regard to uploading or downloading AutoCAD settings, to and from any computer you might be working on. Although there are issues, I can see huge potential with this feature, if only a few changes were made to improve it's functionality.

From what I've seen over the years Autodesk has a history of trying then discarding cloud based services.

They also have kept coming up with similar and confusing names that mean users like us are always scratching our heads.

Please come up with good concepts and stick to it. Work on it and improve it.
Don’t just come up with this cloud stuff and then dump it!
No one in their right mind, would commit to putting their important files in a cloud service, that could potentially just disappear.
Fusion 360 is such a service and I’m reluctant to use it. Especially because Fusion 360 files aren’t compatible with Inventor. Should Fusion disappear, all your work and saved files would become redundant!
